Rustic authenticity in the Italian countryside overlooking the rolling hills of Tuscany.
COMO Castello Del Nero, Tuscany, is a 740-acre, historic estate in the world-famous Chianti wine region of Italy — and COMO’s first property in continental Europe, offering the same precise service, therapeutic wellness experiences and exceptional food for which the brand is known globally.
At the property’s heart stands a twelfth-century Castello featuring 50 rooms and suites with interiors by Milanese designer, Paola Navone. Navone has brought a light and modern ‘COMO’ aesthetic, to complement and enhance the period architecture of the Castello, without losing any of the deeply authentic historic texture.
The Michelin-starred La Torre restaurant is located in the original stables of the Castello in the winter, transferring to the garden terrace in summer. All menus are overseen by Executive Chef, Giovanni Luca Di Pirro, and showcase gourmet Italian cuisine, using the finest Tuscan produce, much of it from the estate’s kitchen-garden.
The estate also has its own vineyard, beehives and olive groves. There are two informal restaurants, La Taverna and the Pavilion, as well as a wine cellar, which dates back to the twelfth century.
COMO Shambhala Retreat offers daily complimentary yoga, therapeutic massages and expert guidance in holistic wellness, while the garden features two tennis courts and a large outdoor swimming pool. The Renaissance cities of Florence and Siena are both within a 30-minute drive.
